How much do dental implants cost here in the US?

My DDS says one of my molars can't be saved, and it is being extracted new week. He recommends an implant.

I didn't even start the conversation with him yet, because I didn't want to be speechless when he announces how much it will be.

So about how much? More than say 2 thousand for the molar?

Whether you get an implant or opt for a bridge, prices for each are about the same. Yes, implants are expensive, but they are the ideal restoration for a missing tooth. By doing an implant, the teeth on either side will not need any uneccessary procedure done to them. With a bridge, healthy abutment teeth need to be prepped for the crowns. Not everyone is a candidate for an implant though. Go for a consultation with a periodontist for the implant. They will tell you what their costs are and what's involved to have this procedure done. Then talk with your general dentist office to find out what fee the implant crown will be.
Reply:i need one too and here in the northeast the total cost runs around 3000 Report It

Reply:The implant itself will run between $1500 and $2000 and the crown that goes on top of it will be about $700. So, about $2500 a tooth.
Reply:Around $1,000 for the implant and $700-1,000 for the crown that tops the implant. Depends on area. If there is a complication with the sinus that requires grafting bone to insure there is enough bone between the root tip of the implant and the sinus floor, this can add to the price.
Reply:$2000
Reply:It all depends on the area where you live. I know around here (GR Michigan) it's between $2000 %26amp; $3000. It's also a procedure that will extend over several months. It's worth it if you care about your appearance and oral health.
