Are dental implants expensive?

Are dental implants expensive?
Yes they are tons of money I'm going through that right now and we cant pay for it. my implant is over 5000 dollars
Reply:Dental implants are expensive going in, but will outlast other restorations (like bridges), so over your lifetime, they may actually cost less since they don't need to be replaced.

Implants are a two-step procedure - first surgical placement of a titanium receptacle which integrates into your bone tissue and then placement of a crown. You will want someone with good surgical skills to do this, so going "cheap" is not a good idea.

In my area, the surgery portion can run from $1200 to over $3K depending on if it's done by a general dentist or a specialist. (Some general dentists have taken extensive training and placed hundreds of successful implants. Check around.) The crown and abutment to finish the implant costs between $900 and $1800 depending on the lab and area where you live.
