Has anyone had dental implants?how was your experience and can you have only 1 or 2 done at a time?

**I'M SAD TO SAY BUT I HAD AN IMPLANT THAT WENT BAD AND HALF MY FACE WAS NUMB FOR ALMOST A YEAR. please DO YOUR RESOURCE FIRST AND MAKE SURE U AVE SOMEONE GO WITH U TO WATCH THE DENTIST SO HE CAN WATCH EVERYTHING HE OR SHE DOES. SEE THE DENTIST PUT THE WRONG SIZE IN MY MOUTH AND HE STATED THAT WHILE I WAS SLEEPING BECAUSE I REQUESTED IT. HE SAID I MOVED AND THE IMPLANT WENT IN TO MUCH. WHAT A DAMN LIE IT WAS HIS MISTAKE. I'M NOT SURE IF U CAN DO MORE THEN 1 SO ASK YOUR DENTIST BUT I DON'T RECOMMEND IT. GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE U HAVE A DIVINE DAY

for the first visit for impants they will place an abudment in your gums and they wait for it to heal in 6 months. After 6 months, they screw the tooth to the abudment. And yes, you can have 2 or 3 at a time.
Reply:well the process starts with a referral to a oral surgeon from here the doctor determines with different procedures if you are a candidate for implants. IE bone structures, maxillary sinus how low or high if you need a sinus lift. there are many variables to an implant procedure. if you fit a certain criteria then you would start the initial process like removal of the necrotic teeth/ tooth from your dention. yes you can have just one or two teeth implanted. sometimes it's better to do one or two then taking out all the other teeth that can be saved. and i highly recommend an implant procedure
