Can you get braces and dental implants at the same visit to the dentist.?
In short, NO! Braces and implants both are lenghty processes. With implants they must place a stent first for a few months, then the post will be imbedded in your bone. it will then be left for a few months for the bone to grow around the endosteal implant. Same as with braces, it is a lenghty process usually minimum 2 years with many adjustments. Hope this helps
Reply:i am not sure. i have never had braces!!
Reply:No. An orthodontist will be needed to put on the braces; an oral surgeon will do the implants. It is possible to get implants while wearing braces, though, after you're teeth have shifted to basically where they need to be. You're orthodontist and oral surgeon will work together to decide you're plan of action, depending on your situation.
Reply:It all depends on how much time you have for your appointment and when it is scheduled!

Good Luck!
Reply:you can't get 2 things in one sitting baby..that 2 procedure/treatment takes case studying/analysis first of what procedure may needed an immediate treatment..ask your dentist to discuss your case with you so that you may scheduled it on your applicable time..maybe you're too busy that's why..but don't give your dentist a pressuring time so that she/he can give you a more planned and good post treatment..:) good luck!
Reply:I would say no. The implants would have to go on first and then they would wait to see how they feel and then braces would go on at a later appt.. Both of which take quite some time to finish.
