Has anyone had any problems after dental implants?

I had my implant finally finished one month ago. Since then I feel pressure in my head after eating, like I need to equalize. I also get pressure between my eyes when eating. I've also had pain around my eyes and constant dull headaches in front. Sometimes when I eat my throat feels like it's swelling up, just below my jaw. And today part of my implant fell out (the tooth). I don't know if all these things can be related to the implant or not.

success rates today of dental implants are very high - around 98%. Yet in some cases there might be some complications - especially when the implant is imediately loaded ( the crown is built on the implant) and the the new tooth is put into use.


Traditionally dentists prefer to place the implant and only a few months after that build the crown on top of it.


The crown should'nt have fallen out - that doesn't sound right!!


Your dentist might decied to go a step back and remove only the crown and let the site heal for a few months and then build the crown again.
