anyone have dentures out there
I have an option of dental implants or a full bottom denture, but implants are so expensive.?
If you're still young(ish) and have money, go for the implants.
I know some people who have removable dentures and say they're a lot of trouble. I also know other people with a full mouth of removable dentures who have no problems whatsoever. Your teeth are very important.
Reply:My feeling is that if you are under 50 and expect to be working for some time, I would go with the dental implants. If you really don't have the money, your job is iffy, then the denture is certainly workable.
My Mom has had dentures (upper and lower) since the age of 21. She has had repeated episodes of choking because you actually chew less thoroughly. On the other hand, she has had them since 21 and they've worked fine for her and she's only been to the dentist twice in 30 years (to get repairs to her dentures). She'll be replacing her dentures next year, so they do last a long, long time. My cousin's GF (about 40 years old) got a lower last year. She was doing very well after 3 months, so was happy she finally bit the bullet and got dentures.
Reply:dental implants are the ideal solution!! Lower dentures do not fit.. mostly gravity holds them in..
I have seen people get implants after having a lower denture for alot of years and they are now able to eat any food without trouble. No need for adhesives.
Borrow the money if you need to, you will be so glad you did!!!
