Does anyone know anything about dental implants do you have to get them as soon as your teeth are pulled?

I do not think so, but they are VERY EXPENSIVE..

you dont have to get them as soon as the teeth are removed, however there are new techniques that allow them to be placed immediately after extractions, personally i think this may be a good idea as the jaw will then heal around the implant, other wise your looking at drilling into the jaw bone at a later date. ask your dentist about this of if they cant help ask to be refered to specialist implantologist!
Reply:As a dentist who has restroed many implants, I think it is best to place them some time after the teeth are extracted. This can be an inconvenience for the patient but a temporary prosthesis can be made to fiil the space(s). The bone has to heal around the implant no matter when oit is placed, but a prepared site(as opposed to a freshly created extraction site) is prepared to the ideal depth and diameter and therefore does not require the placement of a bone graft.
Reply:I like ponyboy's answer. I'm just putting in my 2¢ of support and agreement.
Reply:you best get them before then get them put in once healed
Reply:The short answer is no. Celtic gives good info. An oral surgeon can also place the implant.
