This is something you should discuss with your dentist. However, outside the normal risks of surgery and post-operative complications from implant placement, there are no negative health affects due to the presence of the implant in your tissue. In other words, you won't go cross-eyed or become anemic or develop chronic fatige syndrome etc from the implant.
Are there negative health effects of dental implants?
Current dental implants are made of titanium alloy which is well tolerated by most patients. As an oral surgeon who places dental implants for years, I have not encounted one patient who is allergic to it. However, just like any implant, there are complications associated with placement and use of dental implants. There are complications associated with the surgery to place the implants, the surgery to add bone to the jaw if the bone is not sufficient to place an implant, and the complications associated with the prothesis. In general, the negative health effects associated with dental implant use, once it is successful placed and restored with prosthetic crown, is less than one's own teeth. There is no known immunological negative effects. Implants could not get cavity, but they could have inflammation of the surrounding gum similar to gingivitis. Also, bone lost could happen around an implant, which is similar to periodontistis. Only a dentist who is good with implants and has examined you could advice you of your own particular risks/benefits associated with implants.
Reply:Get your full dental implants work in India.Dental Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic/dental surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients as all surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.
They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star .
