I need about 5 dental implants , can I get one or two done at a time ?

I don't have the money to get all five so I was wondering if I could do them one at a time .

If they are all in the same area, it is better to have the restorative work done at one time. It is not essential, but better. If they are in different areas of your mouth, it would not be a big deal to get, say, one a year until you are done. It might be BETTER from an academic standpoint to do them all at once, but sometimes reality becomes a factor in the equation.

Reply:Yes you can, and dear GOD are they expensive!! I know for fact that you can just get one at a time, i know someone that got those instead of dentures.
Reply:Absolutely. It wouldn't be recommended to have five done at one time.
Reply:if you dont have enough money, then why would you force yourself to do the implants. save money first then you can spend more on the implants.
Reply:It will end up costing you more in the end to have them done seperately because the dentist will charge you for an office call each time you go in. Inquire about payment plans. A good dentist will work with you to make arrangements.
Reply:Lasik eye Surgery and Dental implant is very safe nowadays. It is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges Eye surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as obesity surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your eye surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin got her Eye surgery %26amp;Dental Surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare .She is more than very happy with the results. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.hope this helps

Reply:Seek the advice from an Oral Surgeon. It is wise to do one at a time, to see how your mouth is going to react to the new materials being implanted into your mandibular and/or maxillary joint. There are stages to go through for each dental implant. It cannot be done in one or two appointments. You will start out with a consultation, in which a panorex and TMJ xray will be taken. Then molds of your mouth will be needed. From there the oral surgeon will need to determine weather or not you need bone grafting to hold the implants. This could take anywhere from 6 to 12 months to perfect. Then a custom made abutment will need to be made for the implant. The actual implant surgery averages one to two hours. In Minnesota, USA...bone grafting averages $350 per site, abutments could cost as much as $400 and the actual implant ranges from $1,500 - $3,000 per Implant. General anesthesia could cost as much as $300 the first half hour and $60- $80 for every 15 minutes after that. And further note...MOST dental insurances DO NOT cover the cost of Dental Implants unless it is determined it is medically necessary...even then it's all in the billing codes. Contrary to belief...Dental Implants are not a permanent replacement. I've seen many patients where the surgery didn't take. Do your research when it comes to finding an Oral Surgeon.
