Number of dental implants possible?

I am currently undergoing dental treatment and have been told of some conflicting information. Is it possible to have 4 implants side by side? I have my 4 front teeth missing and have been told that it is not possible to have an implant next to another implant.


I have been researching on the net and dental chat sites and have been told that it is possible to have 4 implants side by side.


Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am starting to loose faith in my current prosthodontist for various reasons.

ok man... the idea is not that if it's possible to have side by side implants or not....


we can put 10 implants side by side... but the question is: why to do that while we can put two implants one on each side of the space then a bridge will cover the whole space...


this will decrease the side effects " after implant expected problems".





So u need two implants and a bridge connecting them...

Reply:You don't need an implant for each tooth. If you are missing multiple teeth a permanent bridge will be attached to one or more implants. You probably need 2 to form the attachment for a permanent bridge of 4 teeth.
Reply:you dont need implants. you can ask if they have these like a bridge... and like they put it on your teeth and they look perfect. and it doesnt take long at all. i saw that on extreme makeover and it took them about 20 min. or theres these its sorta like a retainer but theres a full set of teeth and like you put them on and they l;ook perfect! o yea and theres this other thing that they put yea theres like a wire and they can put the teeth on the wire and like you can take it on and off. theyre better than getting implants they cost less and everything.
Reply:Yes it's possible to have 4 implants side by side. I have three in a row and they're beautiful, solid as a rock and fully functional like my original teeth.


I would imagine if the bone was suitable you could have a whole row of implants but the cost would be prohibitive.
