Are there any known complications with having sinus surgery with DENTAL IMPLANTS?

I have read that there is an incision that gets placed inside the upper lip top - that seems to be a bad location having had dental implants in that location (I wouldn't want to introduce any problems that would lead to rejection). ALSO, how risky is sinus surgery when EACH AND EVERY sinus is severely affected. My doctor told me that on a scale from 1-10 with 10 being the worst he has ever seen I am a 9! A few years ago I went in for swollen glands in my neck, they took a catscan and later that afternoon were calling me back immediately for a second opinion due to the severity of my sinus problem. I chose not to go ahead with the surgery due to the fact that he scared the s... out of me when he told me I could go blind (optical nerve is right where he would need to work) or die (coratid (sp) artery is right there too). Went to another doc a couple of years later and that is where I got the 9 out of 10. Have been putting it off ever since.
