They put a temp crown on mine straight away but it was awful and felt really odd Like a comedy rubber tooth i was glad when it fell out a week later
Reply:If the implants will be in the front, sometimes a 'flipper' is made to fill in the gap from the missing tooth. If the implants are in the back, it's usually left just with the healing cap in place.

You have to wait about six months before the crown can be made... this is to make sure your body doesn't reject the implant, since it's a foreign body...........

:)
Reply:i agree with CDA~NY. Sorry you have to wait but that's how it is.
Reply:if the teeth are in front, the dentist will try to cover that area, somehow, but i think its likely, you need the surgery to heal. Sorry, in my case it took 6 months. I had 7 implants ( one in front and 6 at the back). At the back i was just left to heal. At the front, the dentist used the old crown to "cover" temporarely the gap.

I hope this was useful.
