How much do dentist schools usually charge for dental implants? Only respond if you had one done!?

I'm wondering how much you paid for the whole thing.. for one dental implant, crown if you had it done at a dentist school.. also how many visits did it take all in all? Thank you.

I am a dental student and i have a list of pricing to my dental school (USC). For an implant we charge $1100 and for the crown it's $550. But there are also other charges such as x-rays and comprehensive exam for new patients which comes out to $80. If there is excess plaque/calculus in your mouth that needs to be cleaned before the implant is placed and that can cost $45 for minimal plaque to $260 for a full mouth deep cleaning. If you need bone replacement for the area of the implant, that can be anywhere from $225-350. One visit at our school can take up to 4 hours, so youre looking at a minimum of 4 visits for this, to get x-rays, impressions of your mouth, and planning your treatment, plus a visit for the implant and a visit for the crown.
