I cannot seem to be able to find out an approximate cost of a dental implant. i.e. when they implant a new root into the jawbone as well as putting a tooth onto it. please any one who has had this done can you give me a rough price, thanks
Has anyone had dental implants?
I'm going through the process now. It cost me $3,250 per tooth.
Reply:Each tooth will cost approximately $2000.00 each. It may vary some with where you live.
Reply:from £1500 per tooth.
Reply:I looked into this a couple of years ago, to have my front tooth replaced in this way. The costs came out between £1000 - £1500 at one dentist and over £2K at another. As I say, this was just for one tooth, so the plans went on hold!!
Reply:When I asked my dentist he said around £3,000. I told him I'd stick with the gap!
Reply:I'm in your situation myself.
My dentist gave me these prices - 320 GB pounds for a porcelain or ceramic implant. About 50 GB pounds for acrylic resin.
Acrylic resin stains and is weak; in the long run you will have to pay a lot more to keep the tooth looking nice and, with years, it will crack and break.
Porcelain or ceramic can last a lifetime without problems.
It is an awful decision to make. Whatever you get will never replace your original tooth, but try to opt for the porcelain or ceramic.
Good luck (to us both!).
Reply:Yes, they're prohibitively expensive, but if you can get medical evidence that you need them it may be worth approaching a local dental hospital and dental training facility where you might be able to get them for free. A friend of my daughter's, in her early twenties, got knocked down by a car and lost some teeth and got sent to the Eastman dental hospital in London.
Reply:Very expensive. Have you thought of a bridge? It is much more affordable
Reply:Guess it depends on where you are and what you need.
Northeast US - apprx. $900 - $2000 per tooth. I paid $1800.
If bone graft is required add another $2000.
Crown that goes over implant apprx. $1000 - $1800.
I'm sure the low prices are from general dentists where the higher prices are from the more experienced perodontists/oral surgeons.
Reply:I've just had 6 implants in budapest in october at a cost of £600 each i go back in february for implant liberation which costs another £600 an implant, which involves opening the gum to expose the 10mm metal pins and attach the bridge.
I believe the same work would of cost me over £20,000 in UK.
Up to know i'm very impressed with the standard of work and service.
