Have anyone had or know someone that have had dental implants how did thay turn out?
My mom had implants and they are fantastic in both looks and function. Tell the dentist about your anxiety, if he won't help you out try a different dentist. Implants require lenthy appointments and you need to be calm.
Reply:I know a guy who has 3 in front and they seem to be alright. he says they are several years old now
Reply:My mother had her "uppers" done with implants and while quite expensive she never regrets it. False teeth at age 55 were very difficult psychologically for her and her taste was altered. She tried for 1 year to get dentures that fit right and didn't make her taste buds react with no luck.

She had implants done over about 4 months and 1.5 years later --- stands by her decision.

Make sure you discuss your anxiety with your dentist - most times fear of the unknown is the culprit so a thorough explanation and explaining step by step what is happening during the procedure is very helpful!

I wish you luck!
Reply:My friend did an implant on only one tooth and it hurt like mad. It is a process which would take months for the 'screw' to grow into your jaw. I did consider doing but am still thinking about it because of the pain and extremely high cost. And you're doing 7 !! However, it does look great for my friend, you can't tell that it's an implant.
Reply:Dental implant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and lasik surgery in India by a company called Forerunners Healthcare. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.

They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
